LIVE REVIEW: The Story So Far w/ Turnstile and Drug Church @ Y Plas, Cardiff

Well December was off to a damn good start after we went to see The Story So Far, Turnstile and Drug Church in Y Plas, Cardiff.

First up on the bill, Drug Church. Before going to this gig I hadn't even heard of, yet alone listened to these guys so I had no idea what to expect. Singer Patrick practically skipped onto the stage in a very umm.. different.. outfit choice.. but it didn't affect his performance. The whole band were on point and work really well together. It could probably be classed as the coolest, most aggressive post-hardcore EVER. Every riff was so crunchy and catchy it was impossible not to enjoy it. Would definitely go see them again.(8/10)

Next up, Turnstile. These guys performed tune after tune in this gig. They're so full of energy and you can see that they legitimately love what they do. They played a good mix of their new album 'Nonstop Feeling' and plenty of older songs to satisfy the older fans as well and I think the crowd of walking sweat balls was proof the audience enjoyed it just as much as me. Already looking forward to what these guys have up next, would soooo recommend seeing these if you can!! (9/10)

And finally, the one and only, The Story So Far. These guys put on such an amazing show start to finish, I never lost interest for one minute. However, opening with 'Empty Space' from their 2013 album 'What You Don't See' didn't do it for me at all, would've been so much better to open with 'Smile' from their new album so they could've played off the intro and really got the crowd hyped. I particularly liked the mix of songs they played, some off their new, some off their 2013 and even some from their 2011 album. They didn't fail to impress at all. Super stoked to see what they do next. (10/10)
