People Poems: 'Duologues' EP Review

This simple and genuine EP really strips music down to it's bare bones. An acoustic duo with an EP aptly named 'Duologues' brings us six amazing tracks. Let's have a look through;

The likes of 'Colour & Bruise' and 'Tooth Against Gum' are two songs that highlight the positives best that are portrayed in all songs on the EP. Fantastic vocal harmonies that weave in and out of eachother. Simple picking riffs allow for the listener to focus solely on the songwriting presented. In reference to every song on the album I advise the listener to intently check out each on and listen to the story being told.

The music is very easy to get lost in and the likes of 'Poison Sponge' and 'No Cigar' are at times much like popular artists Ben Howard and Alexi Murdoch. Saying this, the music is almost even more stripped back than that. I would love to check these guys out live just to see their musicianship and passion let loose into a more uncontrolled environment.

At times presenting a slightly country vibe and at others just holding a beautiful acoustic persona this genuinely beautiful EP brings out the best in People Poems, one that I am 100% sure they portray live even better. Their music is captivating and memorizing. Great listen.

As with all fantastic EP's it seems you can grab this amazing music for free HERE.
