They Say Fall: 'Deadlights' Single Review

They Say Fall (TSF) are a band that have been on our radar ever since we saw them play at Fuel Rock Club with Breathe In The Silence. They have an admirable stage presence and great work ethic as a band and that shows through in output of material and content they release as a band. It is also great to see a band that is willing to release videos that give you an insight into their lives (mostly through humour). Anyway, the band will be dropping their brand new single 'Deadlights' on the 17th August. Read below to see why that should excite you as much as it does us...

With three EPs under their belts, and a slew of critical acclaim spanning from the likes of Kerrang! Magazine, Metal Hammer, Punktastic, Rock Sound and Front, through to Kerrang! Radio and BBC Introducing, as well as a recent co-headline UK tour with fellow 'Red Bull Studios Live At Download' winners Breathe In The Silence, They Say Fall return with their stunning new video single 'Deadlights'.

With that much history and acclaim packed into a relatively small amount of time, what does 'Deadlights' have to offer?

The new track is a banger. It brings across the band's quirky personality with catchy hooks, sporadic harmonies and choppy sections that are structured well. Again the band have nailed down a catchy and emotive chorus that captivates the listener from the off. There are glimpses of Faith No More with the heavy yet accessible aspects to the song. The well ranged vocals offered by Kehn Gembalczyk offer a fresh feel to band and give it diversity. Scratchy lead guitar paves the way throughout the song to offer a platform for other elements to thrive and that they do.

The single is a really promising one for TSF, with their metal/pop fusion that has an experimental vibe and has always given the band a creative edge in amongst a scene that can be very samey. 'Deadlights' doesn't disappoint and shows progression whilst holding the bands growing and unique sound. Promising things ar on the horizon for TSF we are sure!

Catch the guys in a week at their show in Gainsborough!
