'Falling With Style' Gig Review 'Ten Feet Tall'

I met up with the guys from Falling With Style to see them support the band Climates a week ago and what I saw was nothing short of brilliance.

To start, here's some background. Falling With Style are a post-hardcore that have established themselves firmly in both the local UK music scene. With successes in winning the Red Bull competition to play Download Festival in 2013 and landing support slots with fantastic bands such as Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis, Kids In Glass Houses and many more the boys have seen their fair share of the limelight. Having had a listen to the band's EP 'This Hell You Call Home' I was eager to see what Falling With Style could offer in their live performance. So how did I find them...?

Falling With Style hit the stage with a burst of energy entering as if they have something to prove. Their live performance brings out the best in their musicianship and professionalism. Take an eccentric frontman with a powerful and energetic stage presence, an aggressive and talented hard-hitting drummer, a riff pounding and agile lead guitarist, a screamer/guitarist with a hell of a lot of scream from a small person and an extremely tall and fantastic Bassist with a great stage presence and what do you get... Nothing short of the whole package.

The band took my expectations to the next level when they played. Each individual member provides a fresh part of the package and creates a whole performance that obviously and easily holds it's own on any stage. From the moment the band begins to play they show that live shows are a strength of theirs. With hits such as Contingency, Different Eyes and The Day The Earth Stood Still that stand out as great crowd pleasers with their ever growing and loyal fan base, and the addition of some of their new songs off their upcoming EP they demonstrate promise in their future and success in their past.

Overall I can't fault Falling With Style at all. Their passion and conviction ooze through and shine onto those watching the show. I would strongly recommend that anyone who likes their live music tries to catch these guys at a show near them! I know I will be heading to see them again!
